Luckily my aunt Kelli was nice enough to tell me earlier today about an hour before the press release went out. I will admit that I did cry when she told me… Yes, I know, I’m a loser! Dont’ make fun! I will say though, that I have been preparing myself the last couple of months knowing that it was Travis’ last season under contract and from the playing time he has been getting, I knew most likely he was either going to sign with another team or just be let go. But I did not think it would have come 2 months before the season was over.

I do hope the best for Travis and hope he gets more playing time in Portland than what he got in Indy and that he will become a better player because of this, but i am still very sad that he has left and  I didn’t even get to say goodbye:( I know this will sound very corny, but i think because of Travis he has made me love pro basketball so much more than before when I didn’t even know who the heck he was. Once Travis started playing for the pacers, that was when i first started keeping track on the team and all the teams in the league. So thank you Travis!

Its getting late here in Indy, just want to say good luck Travis on the rest of your season and know that I will always be your biggest fan! ♥

Anyways. The Pacers have been doin pretty well in the last couple of games that they’ve had. Travis has even gotten to play! Whoohoo:) I love it when I get to see my boy out on the court. He’s just so darn cute! It sucks for him though, because he has only played like 4 games this season… I praying to God the Larry Bird will be a good man and extend his contract, because right now he’s on his last year…. I can’t even think what I’m gonna do when Travis is gone. I can guarantee one thing tho…. I will cry when/if he leaves! Yeah, I know, im a baby. whatever.

Hopefully the Pacers will keep up the decent run they have been having, the All-Star break is coming up, so the guys will get a nice break for that. Especially since none of the Pacers players will be representing in the All-Star games. Darn. The Pacers have one more game before the break against the Chicago Bulls, I think I’ll prob go but if I don’t hopefully they can pull out a W.

OH, also I wanted to say nice try Colts yesterday in the Superbowl. Unfortunately we couldn’t pull through. But if we were to get beat by any team, I would want it to be the New Orleans Saints. They played their buts off and deserve it very much. Congrats Drew Brees! Lata playas

Tonight the Pacers play the 76ers, so hopefully they can pull out a W. But the way things are lookin right now, im not sure if that’ll happen. Hopefully Danny Granger will actually show up to this game, and put some points on the board. 

I was gonna go to the game tonight, but I left early this morning to go down to Edinburgh to go shopping with my mom, sister, baby towles, and Lindsay! It was sooo much fun, I can’t even tell you how many baby stores we went in. I can’t wait till Katy pops that little cutie out:) So since we went shopping, we didn’t get back till late and we were just soo tired, so we just decided to call it a night and stay in! Which is totally fine by me, I just hope Travis doesn’t miss me not being there! HAHA just kidding!

But for now, I will give you the deets on what went on today. So we were out of office all day because we were doing a Gett Fitt program up in Hamilton South Eastern elementary school. Talk about a nice  drive North…into the boonies! Anyways I woke up at like before dawn. We left about 8 and got there around 9. We had four sessions in the morning, to about 12:30. That was soo fun, mainly because Kelli made me get up and dance with Boomer up front on stage… That was a great sight! HAH and very tiring.

We had about a 2 hour break once we finished the morning. And because we were out in the middle of nowhere, we had to drive about 15 miles to get to Noblesville to find a place to eat. Thanks to my awesome  she took all of us out to eat at AppleBee’s. Including Boomer! It was so good, I was just glad we found something other than a gas station. hahah

We had to be back to the other school around 2 for the las Gett Fitt program. For you entertainment I took some videos so that you can get a look at how thing went down. Also some cute pictures of the little kids. They were so cute:) It was kindergarten, first and second graders for the first session. Then a combo in the second session. It was great to watch all the kids get up and dance.

Oh and I got a great pic with Boomer just for you guys! Yes, you’re welcome.

So im sure you all are wandering, “since your internship is over, does that mean your done blogging?”. My answer: NO! I have loved blogging about what all I’ve done. Because if I hadn’t, I would totally forget in a week, now I can know what I did all 2 weeks! I’m so glad I had this opportunity to do this internship. I absolutely, hands down, loved every single minute of what I did! Especially the times that involved Travis…but you already knew that:) I will miss all my new friends soo much, but don’t fret! I will be coming back sometime, I know I will! Until then, peace out

We really didn’t do much today, when I got to Conseco, Lyndzy and Matty, our other interns we already there, and once I got there we started working on TixBlock letters and mailing tickets out to a bunch of different organizations and stuff. While I did that, Matty and Lyndzy went down to the storage room.. Surprise Surprise! They went down to get some books for the book exchange on this coming Saturdays game against the Hornets. Once they were finished with that, they came back and started doing the TixBlock letters, while I started helping my bfff D:) I’m gonna miss him sooo much when I leave!

Anyways, what D wanted me to do what take the Indy Hoops books that we have (to use for the book exchange) and take a razor and cut out one of the pages because it had an 2008-2009 Home Schedule in it… and we obviously had to take it out! So it worked on doing that. It was actually really good timing, because by the time I was finished with that, Matty and Lyndzy were finishing up the TixBlocks.

When we all had finished, we weren’t really sure what to do next, because both Richie and Kelli had left to go up to the North Side to drop off blankets and animals that were from out stuffed animal and blanket drive. So week took out lunch and watched CSI while we did. By the time we were finished and CSI was over, Kelli and Richie were back, so they started to put us to work!

After lunch Richie put us to work doing some cleaning in the storage room! Yay more storage room:) haha Basically we just started going through boxes and sorting them and combining them, or breaking them down. By the time we were done we actually cleared off the whole table and the shelves were actually clean and neat!

At 3:30 there was a IPS meeting at Conseco down in one of the office areas, and a bunch of people from IPS were suppose to come, so we had to escort  them down to the meeting room. When that was all over it was time to go home. So the other interns left, but I had to go to H.R and hand in my badge and everything:( I was so sad. After I did that I had to go back down to storage and get some goodie bags, because someone from my school needed some prizes to give away at a game or somthin. idk, whatev. Finally after I did that I went back up and got all muh stuff and went home.

You may think I’m really weird, but I am extremely sad that this internship is almost over. I came  into it hoping that this is want I want to do “when I grow up”, but now I know this is what I am going to do. It was better than I even expected! Tomorrow’s the last day, I hope some tears aren’t shed!

First thing me and matty (other intern) did was type up this Indiana Hero letter. It was kind of just a follow-up letter that went with the picture that was taken of the hero and the Pacers Player:) Once we typed that up, we had to go and get special envelopes to put the letter in to mail out. Then D needed help with some other Indiana Heroes pictures to be sent out as well. After we sent out all the Hero stuff it was off to the storage room!

All we had to down in the storage room was put together the High Five fan goodie bags. All of those consist of is just a bunch of Pacers goodies like bandanas, magnets, cups, roster, headband, etc, etc. We took our time doing that because Kelli and Richie had left to go up on the North side to drop off some toys and blankets for our blanket drive.

Later, after they got back, and after me and matty took our lunch break, me and matty went through the mail…It was nice though, because 99.9% of it was player fan mail, and we don’t go through that, and the rest was just trash so we didn’t have to enter anything! The rest of the day before we started getting ready for the game we just did little errands going back and forth getting stuff from the storage room. surprised? Ha

My day was made better though when I was walking down by locker room (the storage room is by it) and past Travis:) whoo he is soo cute♥  But of course I made a straight B-line for the other direction right after I looked at him and smiled like a little school girl. And after I started blushing as red as a lobster!

And to make things even better, Trav dressed the game tonight against the Phoenix Suns, and I did the High Five/Ball Exchange and got to give him one of the balls:) Great day!

Maybe I’ll see him tomorrow.  Once me and Kelli finished the High Five thing, we took the kids back to their seats, and I met up with my cousin to watch the game! At first I thought it was going to be a blowout, but what’dya know- they came back to win! By quite a bit I might say as well. Gotta love DG33 throwin down 3′s at the end:)

Half the time when I see him i want to say something to him, even just a “hi”, but I get too scared and chicken out. I feel like half the time im just solely trying to not make eye contact and look everywhere except in his direction…and i think thats kinda how today went. Unfortunately…

So I’ll stop rambling about Travis and tell you what we did today. Hah. Today was the first day for the other interns for the community relations dept to start. Which was nice and I actually got along with them really easily and I feel like I’ve known them for a while now, and they’re friends that I already knew. I guess thats good:)

Pretty much the day just started with kind of showing them around and stuff. After that, we had to start getting ready to prep for the autograph session. For that what we had to do is get a bunch of bins that had the players names on them, and set them out on these tables. Then we had to log-in all of the items that needed to be signed, then we would go and put them into the players bin that it was specified to. When we finished putting everything in the bins, we waited. And waited. And waited. Because we had to make sure we were ready before the players, of course. Theeen, finally we were able to go into the locker room and set the bins in there and lay out all of the sharpies and basketballs. Then we waited some more for the players to come in.

Finally when the players came in, I felt like it was all in slow mootion. Travis was one of the first- and man is he cute;) All the player came in and sat down, and it was really cool to be in that kind of atmosphere because they were all goofin around and stuff. The CR dpt does autograph session every couple of months, and usually there is alot of stuff to be signed, but today there was nothing. Some of the players didn’t even have any stuff… all of us interns felt bad, so we went and got pics for them to sign. haha

I seriously think that it took like 5 minutes for everyone to finish… it went by sooo fast! After the players were done, we had to go back out to the table and sort them to which stuff goes with which dept. after that, we waited some more for each dpt to come get their stuff. In total I think we wasted about a good hour, hour and a half waiting. Productive day, I know.

Once everyone finally came to get their stuff, it was lunch time and we all went out to Bdubs (BW3). Which was really good! I was very sad though that my bff Darnell couldn’t come:) Haha but i did get an autograph from him that I will treasure forever!!! hahah

By the time we got back, it was about 3:30, and what we did the rest of the day was organize the storage and bring some of the crap we took out and move it to a different storage place. Very fun. After that it was time to go home.

Tomorrow the Pacers play Phoenix, so it will be another late night! Check back to see if I see Travis anymore♥ hah

I started off the day kinda on a bad note. It was just a bad day yesterday, I felt like everything was going wrong. First I woke up late; second I couldn’t find anything to wear! Third, once I did find something to wear, it ripped all down the side once I got to conseco…. Let’s just say I was to the point of tears. So on my lunch break, my aunt Kelli let me go home change, re-group myself get some lunch and come back once I was done with all that. Once I got back, things started to get better!

Other than sorting through mail in the morning, first thing I did when I got back was Richie and I went down to storage (which I feel is like my second home because I’m down there soo much. haha) to count again. Yes, I said count. Although this time it wasn’t as bad because we just had to count to like 30, two times. But we had like 2 organizations  coming by to pick up some of the animals and blankets that we counted like the first day or whatever. So that wasn’t too bad!

After that I finished with getting together the kids fan packs together for the High Five Club. The kids fan packs are basically just little bags full of Pacers goodies and prizes. When I was done stuffing those I went and put them where we could get them later. The it was upstairs to meet Richie. I had about 20 minutes to waste, and my aunt Kelli had already left, so I went up and took a little cat nap in her office, which was very nice!

Then I had to meet Richie down at Guest Relations to wait for our kids for the High Five Club. This got a little stressful because not all of the kids showed up, so we had to pull some from the stands and give them the low-down of what we were doing. Then we rushed them out to the court to do the High Five thing, so the players could high five them. Then we lined them up on one end of the court, right before the anthem, while me and Richie gave little bballs to the players, to hand to the kids. That was really cool, but of course, my luck, Travis didn’t dress, so I didn’t get to give him one:(

Once that waS over, we took the kids back to their seats and I got to go home!

Anyways, like the last couple of days, today was pretty laid back as well. Today we didn’t have any School functions to go to which was nice, so we were able to get alot done. When I first got to my cute little cubicle I started doing what I’ve done every other day…sorting through mail! Yay. So that went as usual, and pretty fast now that im getting the hang of it:) Once I finished that I ran around the building doing some errands. First I went down to storage to grab a dolly, came back up to the office, put some boxes full of Game Time booklets on the dolly, then took them back down to recycle bins.

After that was lunch time. And since its Friday, we ordered Jimmy Johns! It was delish! But I’ve had better….

Later I finished some more mailing stuff. I mailed out some fan mail letters and also mailed a signed basketball of the whole team and took that down to the mailing room. Then I put some more ticket block information into the database. I know it sounds reeaall fun.  Other than running around and doing errands all day, thats pretty much all I did. I would have probably been able to do more, but my freakin awesome Aunt let us leave at 3:30 instead of 5, I love her!

I know my day doesn’t sound like its been very exciting, but I’ve truly enjoyed myself! I can soo picture myself doing this is 5, 10 years. And I know this next week coming up  will be super fun, because on Tuesday we have a team autograph session. Which will be awesome getting to see all the players (especially Travis♥). Don’t worry tho, I will be extremely professional! haha. So keep update for posts next week. Peace out
